Poor Things

Director : Yorgos Lanthimos

Running Time: 141 mins

Country/Year: Ireland, UK 2024

Cert 18

Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone, Poor Things tells the story of Bella, a young woman who, after being brought back to life, has to rediscover the world around her and now free of the prejudices of her times revels in a new found social and sexual liberation. With strong echoes of Shelley’s Frankenstein and based on Alasdair Gray’s novel, Poor Things is a strange and thrilling tale. “Wildly imaginative and exhilaratingly over the top, Poor Things is a bizarre, brilliant tour de force for director Yorgos Lanthimos” Vox
